Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common queries about Apprenticeship Pathways

Which industries offer apprenticeships in Australia?

In general, you can get an apprenticeship in a wide range of industries. At Gimbal Training, we offer apprenticeship pathways for construction and engineering industries. You can choose between fields like cabinet making and glazing to boilermaker and machining.

Generally, these usually take anywhere between three to four years, depending on the field of study and the method in which your training is delivered. For example, if you already have experience and some knowledge & practical skills, your apprenticeship could be shorter than someone who has never been exposed to these industries.

While your qualification may not credit directly overseas, your practical experience will help you quickly navigate the industry abroad.

While you may need to acquire a different formal qualification overseas, your existing skill set will allow you to get ahead with ease. Australian qualifications align with those in countries in the UK, Northern America and New Zealand particularly.

There are several benefits to following an apprenticeship pathway in Australia.

Improved Skill Set

You will learn how to use your skills in your field with confidence to a high standard. By working with trade qualified trainers at Gimbal Construction (RTO ID 32201) and Gimbal Engineering (RTO ID 31820), you can improve your practical abilities with specialist tools while acquiring theoretical knowledge.

Nationally-Recognised Qualifications

As all certificates delivered by Gimbal Training comply with the national training packages, if you do your training and apprenticeship in NSW or Queensland, your qualification will be valid Australia-wide!
